B.B. King's Blues Club

B.B. King's Blues Club is a bar in Memphis, TN, located on Beale Street. It blends live music with Southern dining, offering ribs, Memphis-style barbecue, shrimp and grits, and a lineup of signature cocktails alongside nightly performances that span blues, soul, and rock and roll. The venue serves both locals and tourists looking for live entertainment and food on the historic strip, and it also hosts private events ranging from graduation celebrations and wedding receptions to corporate gatherings.

The club traces its origins to the early 1990s redevelopment of Beale Street, when music legend B.B. King and Tommy Peters came together to create an entertainment destination that opened during the 1991 Beale Street Blues Festival. The space combines a restaurant and a music club, with authentic decor, original artwork, and rare photography that tie the room to the South's food and musical heritage. Beyond Memphis, the concept also operates in Montgomery. Guests can pick up the brand's own BBQ sauce and rub to recreate the experience at home, and the club runs a regular calendar of live acts, including the Jason Foree Band, BB King All-Stars, the Beale Street Blues Band, and Memphis Soul Factory.

The venue sits at 143 Beale Street in the Beale Street Historic District, steps from the Memphis Music Hall of Fame and a short walk from the South B.B. King Boulevard corridor. Historical markers for the Hooks Brothers Photography and Lansky Brothers Clothier line the same block, and the Beale Street Center for Southern Folklore sign is just across the street.

The club is open every day from 11 AM to 12 AM and can be reached at (901) 524-5464, with private event inquiries handled at (901) 202-9114. Its roots in the 1991 Beale Street revival tie it directly to Memphis's identity as a capital of blues and live music.
