Cherokee Trails Campground

Cherokee Trails Campground is a campground in Bluff City, Tennessee, located at 901 Morrell Creek Lane. It offers tent and camper sites, seven cabins and camper rentals, and stables, with horseback riding trails, hiking, fishing and kayaking available to guests. The campground sits at the base of Holston Mountain, adjacent to Cherokee National Forest, where trails for every level of rider lead out directly from the grounds into the backcountry. South Holston Lake is 5 miles away, and the South Fork of the Holston River, about 3 miles from the campground, offers trout fishing. Other nearby destinations include Blue Hole, Downtown Bristol, the Virginia Creeper Trail, Bristol Caverns and Laurel Falls. The campground is also close to Bristol Motor Speedway and Thunder Valley.

Cabin accommodations include heat, air conditioning, ceiling fans, coffee makers, microwaves, mini fridges, sofas, coffee tables, dressers and televisions, with some units adding full kitchens, bathrooms, dinettes, radios, refrigerators, toaster ovens, stoves, sinks and cookware. Linens are not provided in the two-twin-bed cabins. A lighted 14-stall barn with water and shavings serves riders, and a covered space with tables and benches is available for outdoor barbecues, gatherings after a day of riding or fishing, or relaxing in the evening. Sites include water and electric hookups or primitive camping, and full hookups with 30-amp electric, water and sewer. Rates are payable by cash or check and differ during race week. Wi-Fi is free, firewood is available, and the campground is pet friendly. Day ride parking is offered for horses.

The campground sits on Morrell Creek Lane in Bluff City, about 2 miles from Left Fork Mill Creek and roughly 2.3 miles from Hickory Tree Road, Miller Branch and Sunrise School. Grandfather Knob rises about 2.9 miles away.
