Preferred Mechanical Heating & AC

Preferred Mechanical Heating & AC is an HVAC contractor in Brookings, SD. The company works on air conditioners, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and indoor air quality systems for homes and offices throughout Brookings and the surrounding area, handling service, maintenance, replacement, and new installation for all major equipment brands. Technicians are available for emergency calls and regular work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with around-the-clock coverage advertised for heating and air needs. Routine air conditioning maintenance visits include cleaning indoor and outdoor coils, checking refrigerant levels, and adjusting blower components to keep airflow at proper levels and protect the compressor.

The company provides Rheem heating and cooling equipment when a system needs to be replaced, citing the brand's reputation for efficient operation and dependable performance. Furnace work covers emergency service as well as full system installation, with Rheem's full product line offered for customers looking for energy-efficient options that reduce cabinet heat loss through insulated walls and use induced-draft blowers and electric ignition in place of constantly burning pilots. Heat pump installations draw on the same Rheem equipment, and the company advises customers on SEER and HSPF seasonal efficiency ratings so they can weigh higher upfront cost against lower monthly operating expenses. Indoor air quality services address allergies and asthma symptoms, and programmable thermostats and app-based controls are available to help households manage energy use. The office can be reached at 605-692-4328.

The shop sits on Airport Ave, about a third of a mile from Pioneer Park and roughly four tenths of a mile from both the Brookings Fire Department and the Brookings City Police Department. West 6th Street and Main Avenue South are nearby main roads, and the Old Fire Hall is within walking distance to the south.

With a 4.70 rating, Preferred Mechanical Heating & AC is a Brookings HVAC contractor whose service menu and equipment line-up match the heating and cooling needs of homes and small businesses across the area.
