Precision Equipment & Design is a machine shop in Winnsboro, SC, with a team that brings more than 30 years of manufacturing experience to its work. The shop serves customers across several industries, including nuclear, automotive, chemical, food, building products, and medical. Its focus is on working closely with each customer and their ideas, delivering design, machining, and fabrication work that meets the specific needs of the job.

The shop grew out of a background in the nuclear industry and now operates with a full engineering department alongside its machine shop, giving it the ability to handle both fabrication and machining under one roof. Capabilities include CAD/CAM design, a full quality control department, and the capacity to take on rush jobs when the timeline calls for it.

On the floor, the shop runs a Milltronics CNC milling center with a 24 by 34 inch bed, a Milltronics VKM3 CNC mill at 17 by 31 inches, and an ML16 Milltronics CNC lathe at 16 by 42 inches. Heat treatment is handled by a Lucifer dual-chamber oven rated to 2000 degrees and a 1250 degree draw oven, both with 12 by 12 by 24 inch chambers. Finishing and forming work is supported by a Brown and Sharpe 6 by 18 inch surface grinder, a Bridgeport mill and a Trump manual mill each with 9 by 42 inch tables, a Victor 14 by 40 inch lathe, and an American Pacemaker 18 by 74 inch lathe for longer work. Forming and cutting capabilities include a 60 ton six foot hydraulic press brake, a Miller Matic 251 welder with an aluminum spool gun, a Miller TIG welder, and a Magna cut off saw.
