Kali Majapahit has been taught since 1998. Programs are offered for adults and for children. Kali Majapahit was founded by Fred and Lila Evrard, both professional martial arts instructors with more than 40 years of experience. Fred is a close-quarter-combat and knife-defense instructor for the French Special Forces and a counter-terrorism consultant for the French Ministry of Defense. Lila was named Filipino Martial Arts Woman of the Year in 2010 and teaches Boxing, Kickboxing, Conditioning, Tai Chi and Tahitian Dance. The system also carries a health and lifestyle element developed from the founders' studies in nutrition, acupuncture, psychology, posture correction, osteopathy, Qi Gong and meditation.

Every class emphasizes three aspects of the art: self-defense and martial arts, health, and personal growth. A rotating curriculum is designed to make the system accessible to anyone, and the school maintains a specific law enforcement program. Kali Majapahit is represented in Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, India, Tahiti, France, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, the Philippines, the Netherlands and the US. This location serves as the US headquarters.

With a 5.00 rating from its reviewers and a curriculum that pairs self-defense with health and personal growth, KM Martial Arts of Wade Hampton brings an internationally taught Filipino martial arts system to Wade Hampton.
