Founded in 1984 by Charles F. Hawkins as a hobby, the business grew into a full-time operation and is now managed day-to-day by Anthony Hawkins, who took over in 2010 as Charles became semi-retired. Beyond plant sales, the nursery offers landscaping services including hardscapes, irrigation, tree and shrub installation, and mulching.

To focus on larger tree sales and landscape projects, the nursery has streamlined its sales schedule. In-person plant sales are limited, with the physical office open Saturdays only from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during spring, summer, and fall. Pre-orders are strongly encouraged and can be picked up during Saturday hours or weekday mornings between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Customers may call or text 864-836-3030 or email [email protected] for questions, availability, and pre-orders. The nursery is closed Sundays and on major holidays including New Year's Day, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving through the weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas. It may also close during inclement weather.
