The pre-academy's mascot is Spiffy the Sparrow. The sparrow was chosen because sparrows and children share traits: both are small and highly social. The school also draws a parallel to biblical references to sparrows, noting that Jesus compared His care for the sparrow to His care for people, and that children were brought to Him. Taylors First Pre-Academy states that it desires to love and teach children with hearts reflecting that same love.
