By 1929, the business employed five people and produced cables for automotive manufacturers, counting well-known engineering works such as AEG among its clients. In the mid-1930s, Müller adopted polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for processing insulated copper wires, acquiring valuable know-how as one of the first processors of this material. Despite challenges during the world economic crisis and World War II, including the destruction of the Wuppertal factory in 1943, the company survived and expanded.
