United Glass Services

United Glass Services is a window installer in Newberry, SC, providing automotive, residential, heavy equipment, and commercial glass replacement across SC and beyond. The company serves individual homeowners, motorists, fleet operators, and high-security industrial clients, with named specialties that include residential shower enclosures, custom shelving, mirrors, windshield replacement and recalibration, safety glass for heavy equipment (laminated, tempered, impact resistant, and FRA approved), and large-fleet installation services for fleets of two hundred vehicles or more. Free mobile service is offered for auto glass work, and insurance is accepted across policies. The business holds a rating of 4.80 from customer reviews.

Founded in 2009 by Elizabeth (Betsy) Hobby as Sterling Glass, Inc., the company began as an automotive and residential glass service in Newberry. Upon receiving its first Class 1 railroad contract in 2016, it became United Glass Services and grew under the leadership of Betsy Hobby and her husband Landon Hobby, the Chief of Products and Services. The team has grown to thirty members operating twenty-three fleet vehicles and has served more than seventy thousand customers across forty-seven states. Residential work covers double pane glass and custom installations, while heavy equipment services include on-site custom work, after-hours options, roller shades, window tinting, vinyl curtains, spike driver covers, and replacement gaskets. The large-fleet division handles nationwide logistical and installation projects, including fleet rebranding through decal installation and removal and GPS tracker installation.

The office sits on SC-34, roughly a quarter mile from Winnsboro Road and about seven tenths of a mile from Piedmont Technical College. The Newberry County Memorial Hospital is within a mile, and the City of Newberry Fire Department lies just under a mile away.

The 4.80 rating reflects a positive reception from the customers who have reviewed the business, and the breadth of work from auto windshields to railroad contracts across forty-seven states points to a glass company with unusually deep reach for a Newberry-based installer.
