Sandlapper Car Wash

Sandlapper Car Wash is a car wash in Myrtle Beach, SC. The business operates as a self-service facility that also offers automatic LaserWash services, vacuums, and carpet shampoo machines. It is one of three environmentally friendly locations, a designation supported by specific operational practices: all water is directed to the sewer rather than storm drains, all soaps and waxes are biodegradable, and the process uses less water than washing a vehicle in a driveway. Hot water is available at all sites, and the facility operates on a volume pricing model. Sandlapper Car Wash has been family owned and operated since 1976, maintaining a schedule of open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The business holds a rating of 4.20 based on 446 customer reviews, reflecting a solid reputation among the customers it has served over the decades.

The location sits on 13th Ave S, directly adjacent to South Kings Highway, which is a main road just 40 metres away. The immediate area includes the Holly Park neighborhood, located about 0.2 miles from the wash, and South Ocean Boulevard, also roughly 0.2 miles away. Further out, the Withers Heights neighborhood is situated about 0.3 miles from the site. For nearby green spaces, Midway Park is approximately 0.5 miles away, while Hurl Rock Park is about 0.6 miles from the business. This placement in a residential and park-adjacent part of Myrtle Beach supports the high volume of local traffic that a 24-hour self-service wash in the area typically sees.

With nearly five decades of continuous, family-run operation and a strong local standing, Sandlapper Car Wash remains a consistent fixture for vehicle care in Myrtle Beach. Its combination of round-the-clock availability, environmental practices, and long-standing presence distinguishes it within the local car wash category.
