Neuromuscular Therapy is the most requested service. It applies principles from Paul St. John Neuromuscular Therapy and Janet Travell's trigger point studies to break pain patterns, release restrictions, eliminate muscle spasm, increase range of motion, lengthen hypertonic muscle, and resolve trigger point pain, using stretching, myofascial release, sports work, and trigger point work. Medical Massage is prescriptive therapy intended to speed healing, decrease pain and spasm, and improve functional outcome from injury, chronic conditions, and overuse patterns; treatment follows a doctor's prescription and is often prescribed before or after surgery. Swedish Massage is a rhythmic full-body session using light stretching, aromatherapy, and steamed towels. Hot Stone Massage uses 50 basalt lava rocks, most as massage tools, with coconut, grapeseed, or essential oils, and requires advance notice. Vacuum Cupping places vacuum cups on the skin to draw blood to the surface, loosen fascia, relieve muscle tension and spasms, and improve muscle responsiveness. For Myrtle Beach clients dealing with chronic pain, injury recovery, or stress, Essential~Kneads Massage & Bodywork pairs two decades of hands-on experience with a full range of therapeutic bodywork.
