Founded by Bill Lamson-Scribner in 2002, Possums Landscape-Pest Control Supply began as a wholesale, retail, and resale landscape and pest control business. By 2008 the company had grown to three warehouse and drive-through stores serving the Charleston area, with this Long Point Road location operating as Possum's East alongside the North Charleston and West Ashley stores. The staff handles questions ranging from ant infestations to Zoysia grass problems and helps customers find the right product, fertilizer, or custom-blended solution, drawing on products from established suppliers across agriculture, aquatics, and pest management. Possums also formulates custom blended fertilizers tailored to the Lowcountry and Charleston area, and the company hosts seminars that cover current industry trends and offer continuing education units for licensed professionals.

The store sits on Long Point Road in Mt Pleasant, about half a mile from the Mark Clark Expressway. Rathall Creek and Bermuda Creek both run within roughly a mile of the location.

Possums has built a steady record of repeat and referred customers over more than two decades of supplying the Lowcountry. The combination of custom blended fertilizers, technical expertise, and direct retail access for both professionals and homeowners has made it a fixture of the Charleston area lawn and pest control scene.
