M Body

M Body is a Pilates and yoga studio in Mt Pleasant, SC, serving clients from Mount Pleasant and the Charleston area. The studio was founded by Meredith Williams, a Stott-certified Pilates instructor who began taking private Pilates classes in 2001 and has been teaching in the Charleston area since 2007. Born and raised in Rock Hill, she trained in classical ballet from the age of two and danced for 15 years, including with ballet companies in Rock Hill and Charlotte, and taught at the FIRM while attending the University of SC. Known as "Miss Motivation," she has helped hundreds of men and women work toward their fitness goals. Yoga instruction comes from Kerrie Shebiel, an RYT-200 who trained through Holy Cow Yoga in 2013 and left a career as a school teacher to teach yoga to children and adults; she also works with the nonprofit Yoga Kidz.

Classes use Pilates tower units, a whole body vibrational platform, bodyweight suspension training straps, and Balanced Body Pilates orbits. Each session is built around precise movement and the core fundamentals of Joseph Pilates, with attention to safe and effective form.
