Saltwater Rides LLC is a recreational vehicle rental agency in Isle of Palms, SC. The business provides affordable, eco-friendly Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) golf cart rentals to vacationers, locals, and commercial businesses serving Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, and the Wild Dunes Community. The agency holds a perfect 5.00 rating based on 72 reviews, reflecting a strong local reputation and a steady record of repeat and referred customers.

The company’s fleet consists of street-legal, electric golf carts registered and tagged by the SCDMV, designed for roads with speed limits of 35 MPH or less and restricted to a maximum speed of 25 MPH. Each vehicle comes equipped with safety features, seat belts, and a charging cord that plugs into a standard outlet, allowing for approximately 20 miles of travel on a full charge. Saltwater Rides provides complimentary delivery and pick-up services, with carts delivered between 12 and 2 pm on the first day and picked up between 8 and 10 am on the last day of the rental. The minimum rental period is two nights, and customers can secure a 10 percent discount when renting multiple carts.

To rent an LSV, drivers must be at least 21 years old, while the renter must be 25, with both requiring a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage. The business assists customers with navigation, suggesting routes like Ion Ave and Atlantic Ave for lower traffic and a 25 MPH limit, while noting that Middle Street has a 35 MPH limit. LSVs are prohibited from beach access paths or the beach itself but may park in regular designated spaces. The family-owned team lives and works on the island, offering personalized assistance with vacation questions and cart operations, from charging instructions to identifying the best places to eat and park.

With consistently high customer ratings and a reputation built on quality carts and helpful service, Saltwater Rides LLC stands out as a trusted choice for island transportation.
