Hgi Cabinetry

HGI Cabinetry is a cabinet maker in Greenville, SC. The company builds custom and semi-custom cabinetry for kitchens and baths, working with homeowners, independent designers, and builders across the upstate. Its work ranges from complete custom cabinets built in its Greenville shop to semi-custom options, and all cabinets are built in the USA. HGI Cabinetry holds a rating of 4.90 based on 13 reviews.

The company is led by owner Tim Howard, a second-generation cabinet maker who studied 20 years under his father and has 40 years in the industry. Cara brings 18 years of cabinet design experience and has been with HGI for over 13 years. Brian Thomas supervises all installations and has worked with the company for 27 years. Jackson serves as shop foreman, checking that every cabinet passes quality control before it moves to the finishing department. Justin leads day-to-day operations, including scheduling, and Sendy oversees HR and contributes to creative research and development. Zach builds cabinets alongside the team.

The process begins with a meeting at the HGI showroom with Tim Howard, where customers review layouts, materials, hardware, and bath and kitchen ideas. The team works through inspirational images, discusses options, and provides a 3D rendering plus an initial estimate covering time frame and overall cost, with the chance to adjust the design before production. HGI has partnered with manufacturers for cabinet accessories and countertops and draws on a network of craftsmen and trade contractors when a task requires it. Showroom visits are by appointment only.

The shop sits on Kerns Ave, about 0.1 miles from Poinsett Highway. City Arsenal is roughly 0.3 miles away, with Bruntontown Community Center about 0.5 miles off. Cherrydale Community Park and Cherrydale Elementary School are each about 0.6 miles from the location, as is Davis Branch.

HGI Cabinetry has built a solid reputation among the customers it has served, and its rating reflects that record. For Greenville homeowners planning a kitchen or bath, that combination of second-generation craftsmanship and a long-tenured team is what the shop brings to the upstate.
