Greenville Indoor Rowing

Greenville Indoor Rowing was founded by Lowell Caylor in the spring of 2008. A former NFL defensive back, Caylor had used indoor rowing as his primary form of exercise for more than 45 years when he retired from the software business and established the studio to share the benefits of the sport. He is a certified indoor rowing instructor and is affiliated with Concept2, the maker of the indoor rower used for training and competition by college rowing crews and rowing clubs. Caylor has competed in regional indoor rowing events and medaled each time, including a gold medal in the Men's Over 40 category at the Tennessee Indoor Rowing Championships.

The studio requires new group class participants to attend a free orientation session covering the rowing machine and proper technique, held 30 minutes before a first class; those already familiar with the Concept2 rower may have a shorter session. Private individual training is offered at an hourly rate, and a Frequent Rower Club provides unlimited monthly classes. Yoga participants receive special pricing if they also attend indoor rowing classes.
