The SC location has been in operation since 2001, with the family’s experience in the stone industry dating back to the 1970s when founder GK Naquin worked on stone facade fabrication for high-rise commercial buildings. In 1997, the first Stone Interiors was founded in Loxley, Alabama, and the Gaston, SC location opened as the second location under the leadership of GK’s son, Duane Naquin. The team includes experienced designers, fabricators, and installers who assist customers in choosing materials such as granite, marble, engineered quartz, quartzite, and soapstone. The showroom in Gaston displays thousands of granite slabs and remnants, and the staff helps clients select the right material for their lifestyle and home décor.

Stone Interiors offers a wide range of services beyond standard countertops, including the fabrication of unique items like American Flags, game tables, and stone signs using water jet equipment that can cut 3cm or smaller stone into various shapes. For customers in the Columbia area, the business can manage full bath renovation projects, including tearout, new cabinets, plumbing, electrical needs, and tile installation. The team travels directly to factories annually to select unique stone designs and works with local distributors to source materials from quarries in Brazil, Spain, Turkey, India, Italy, and domestic locations like Alabama and Vermont.

The business maintains a positive rating from its customers and has built an established track record through a large base of 314 reviews. Duane and GK Naquin are members of the Natural Stone Institute and have served as educators and facility inspectors for the organization, promoting safety standards and professional integrity throughout the stone industry. This accreditation and industry involvement ensure that every project meets rigorous standards for quality and safety.
