The Ratio by BodyMath is a medical spa in Columbia, SC, specializing in laser liposuction, body sculpting, and weight loss programs. Led by board-certified surgeon Dr. Mariangela Rivera, the practice offers personalized aesthetic care including fat transfer to the hands, face, breast, and buttocks, as well as AdvaTx skin treatments and injectables. The clinic serves Columbia and surrounding areas, holding a rating of 4.90 based on 51 reviews.

Dr. Rivera founded The Ratio to combine 15 years of surgical expertise with a focus on empowering patients. Her background includes a Head & Neck Surgery Fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and national recognition for microsurgical reconstruction. The practice emphasizes awake liposuction, which uses local anesthesia to enhance safety and allow for immediate response during procedures. Laser liposuction utilizes targeted energy to liquefy fat cells while stimulating collagen production for skin tightening. Treatments often last around five hours, with recovery typically allowing patients to return to normal activities within a few days. The clinic also provides six months of local follow-up care to optimize results.

Non-surgical services are delivered by specialists from partner practice Corpo Bello Medspa, located across the hall. Janeth, a Brazil-born aesthetician with over a decade of experience, specializes in Botox, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation. Dhyana “Gigi” Wilcox, RN, brings six years of ICU nursing experience to the administration of neurotoxins, biostimulators, and PDO threads. The clinic offers flexible payment options through Cherry, CareCredit, and in-house plans, though it does not accept insurance.

The Ratio by BodyMath maintains a strong local reputation, reflected in consistently high customer ratings and a steady record of repeat and referred customers. Patients frequently cite the supportive approach, safety protocols, and the team’s enthusiasm as key reasons for their trust.

Dr. Rivera’s blend of surgical precision and personalized care helps Columbia residents achieve the body contours and confidence they seek.
