The Pilates Sculpt Studio – Columbia

The Pilates Sculpt Studio - Columbia is a Pilates studio in Columbia, SC, located at 2864 Devine St. The studio offers a contemporary approach to classical fitness, focusing on strength, flexibility, posture, and mental awareness. Serving clients ranging from USC athletes and coaches to expecting mothers and active grandparents, the studio utilizes high-quality apparatuses and experienced instructors to help members achieve their fitness and mobility goals. The Devine Street location has served the Columbia fitness community for over 13 years. The studio provides a complimentary introductory session for new clients, which includes a brief health and goals assessment to determine the best class fit. This session allows visitors to meet certified instructors and try reformer equipment in a small-group setting. Beyond the intro, the studio offers a 50-minute reformer class for all levels, as well as specialized classes such as the Flow class, which combines strength training with a mind-body connection using the Reformer and Stability Chair. Advanced Flow classes require previous reformer experience and a high level of balance. The studio also provides Stretch classes for deep relief and Cardio classes that elevate heart rate using a jump-board accessory to reduce joint pressure. Occasionally, the Chapin location transforms reformers into Cadillacs for Tower classes, which use springs and bars for full-body workouts. Founder Tara, a mother of four and athlete since age three, co-founded the studio in 2022 after her personal Pilates journey began more than 15 years ago following a serious injury. Her work has received local recognition, including being voted Best Personal Trainer in Columbia by the Free Times Post and Courier in 2026. The Pilates Sculpt Studio - Columbia combines specialized apparatus training with personalized instruction to support spinal health and core strength for residents of Columbia.

The studio sits on Devine Street, just a tenth of a mile from The Forum shopping mall and the Shandon memorial.
