Seyahan Jewelry

Seyahan Jewelry is a jewelry store in Charleston, SC. The boutique carries handcrafted pieces made by highly-skilled artisans using traditional techniques that have existed for centuries, with styles inspired by Etruscan, Beypazari, and Black Sea region craftsmanship. The store works one on one with artisans on a sustainable basis to maintain a consistent quality level.

Founded in 2012 by couple Laura and Matthias Weimer, Seyahan began while the pair were living in Istanbul, where they first met through their Turkish teacher. Matthias wanted to create a business showcasing silver and gold craftsmanship in Turkey, while Laura aimed to work in the fashion sector. Their love for Anatolian jewelry traditions runs deep through both their jewelry and their relationship. Over the years, they traveled extensively through Turkey in search of great craftsmanship and partner artisans, culminating in several storefronts in Istanbul and southern Turkey. Today, they operate a boutique in downtown Charleston, where they continue to draw inspiration from the city's charm and beauty. Laura and Matthias still spend regular time in Turkey refining designs and curating new collections alongside their partner artisans. In addition to working with women-owned workshops in Turkey, the couple donates to One80 Place, a local organization dedicated to helping Charleston's homeless community. The store also offers gift cards delivered by email with no additional processing fees.

The boutique is located at 57 Broad Street in downtown Charleston, SC 29401, and can be reached by phone at 843-252-2851 or by email at [email protected].
