Charleston Krav Maga & BJJ

Charleston Krav Maga & BJJ is a martial arts school in Charleston, SC. It teaches Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, mixed martial arts, and kickboxing, with more than 20 class options each week so students can tailor a training program. The school holds the only Krav Maga Worldwide training facility designation in SC and the only Fit to Fight affiliation in the Lowcountry. Krav Maga classes cover the self-defense and fighting system of the Israeli defense forces, emphasizing rapid learning and continuous combat motion rather than choreographed sequences, and training for worst-case conditions such as multiple opponents or armed attackers. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is open both to students training for fun and to those on the competition team. Mixed martial arts sessions combine cardiovascular conditioning, Jiu Jitsu, and stand-up fighting. An Ultimate Fitness class lets students work on martial arts and Krav skills at their own pace. For children, the school runs T.E.A.M. Martial Arts for Kids, a rotating curriculum drawing on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, kickboxing, karate, and Muay Thai, along with a 36-month T.E.A.M. Blackbelt program that covers self-discipline, focus, and respect. Belt tests require intent to promote forms completed by parents and teachers, and the school partners with each child's school. Anti-bully seminars tailored for K12 students teach defenses against larger attackers and cover strangers, bullies, and the buddy system.
