LowCountry Custom Screen Doors is a screen door manufacturer in Awendaw, SC. The company builds wooden screen doors from raw material and operates as a wholesale business, supplying doors to most local lumber stores in SC and some in North Carolina. Twelve standard door styles are offered, with widths of 2 feet 8 inches or 3 feet and a height of 6 feet 8 inches, and custom sizes and styles are built to order.

The business was owned by Ernest Cumbee, known as Brantley, for over twenty years before it was purchased by the current owner in February 2016. Every door is personally inspected before delivery, and all lumber is hand-picked from premium No. 1/.40 kiln-dried pressure-treated lumber. The lumber is planed and sanded for a smooth finish, and each door is constructed using mortise and tenon wood dowels fastened with high-grade glue along with aluminum fasteners and screws. Several varieties of screen material are available, with custom options including hardware cloth screening for protection from pets, children, and accidental kick-out. The doors are designed to reduce maintenance, upkeep, and warping, and every order comes with a one-year unconditional warranty against warping, rot, or coming apart with proof of purchase.

The shop sits on Seewee Road, about a quarter mile from Awendaw School, the Awendaw Sheriff's Department, and Awendaw Fire Department Station 2, with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office Substation a short distance further. North US Highway 17 runs roughly half a mile away, and the Awendaw Post Office is about a mile down the road.

The wooden screen doors produced here are built by hand from pressure-treated lumber with mortise and tenon joinery, a level of craftsmanship that distinguishes a small custom manufacturer in the Charleston County area.
