ALX Rods

ALX Rods is a fishing store in Aiken, SC, located at 105 Contract Dr #100. The company specializes in bass fishing rods, offering both production models and fully custom builds designed to match specific angling techniques. Founded by Alex Dziengielewski in the mid-2000s, the business began as a personal project to create the perfect topwater rod and evolved into a full-fledged brand after early prototypes proved popular with local bass club members. Today, ALX Rods is run by Alex and his wife Jennifer, who serves as General Manager, along with a dedicated team of rod builders. The company emphasizes in-house craftsmanship, utilizing USA-built bottom contact rods made with Toray carbon fiber for sensitivity and rapid recovery. Their lineup includes technique-specific rods built on U.S.-made 125gsm carbon blanks, as well as purpose-built swimbait rods engineered for heavy loads and trophy-class fish. The ALX RodMatch System is used to analyze a customer's techniques and baits to recommend the appropriate equipment. Beyond rods, the store offers branded apparel, including Solarskin performance shirts and hoodies with UPF50+ protection and various trucker hats featuring embroidered logos.

The brand’s philosophy centers on eliminating guesswork by providing a consultative approach similar to that found in tennis or golf pro shops. ALX Rods focuses on helping serious anglers find the perfect tool for their technique, ensuring they have confidence in their gear while on the water. The company maintains a pro staff program, where brand ambassadors educate consumers and sales professionals on the value of their products. These ambassadors often include select college and high school anglers who are part of official school teams. The business strives to bring the pro-shop experience to bass anglers everywhere, using as many American-sourced parts as possible in their construction. Their goal is to help anglers be more successful on the water by matching them with the right fishing rod, built right there in the USA.

ALX Rods brings its commitment to American craftsmanship and technical precision to the Aiken fishing community, ensuring anglers have the right tools for their specific needs.
