Owner Jan Friday founded Aiken Transport Express to address limited transportation options in the mid-sized city, aiming to provide quality and reliable services comparable to those found in larger cities. The company’s model emphasizes 24-hour service times and seven-days-a-week availability with reliable drivers to ensure a worry-free experience. All vehicles undergo state inspections by SC, and all drivers are required to complete background checks. For rentals, pricing is based on the vehicle rather than the number of passengers, with a maximum capacity of 6 people in their largest vehicle. The booking process involves filling out a ride quote form, after which the company contacts the client with a quote and confirms the schedule. An invoice is sent upon confirmation, and staff follow up with clients at least 12 hours before the trip. Customers meet at the confirmed location to complete the ride and pay gratuities. Refunds require cancellation within 72 hours.

The business maintains a strong local reputation, reflected in consistently high customer ratings, and has an established track record built on a large base of customer reviews. It holds a rating of 4.80 based on 180 reviews.
