Valley ENT

Valley ENT is an allergist and ear, nose and throat practice in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The practice provides medical and surgical care for ear, nose, throat, allergy and sinus disorders, along with hearing tests and hearing aids, custom hearing protection and earmolds, aural rehabilitation, balance disorder treatment and tinnitus care. Valley ENT has offered these services for over 40 years and treats patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatric. It holds a rating of 3.80.

The practice is led by its founder, David I. Barras, MD, a graduate of Wyoming Seminary High School and a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University who trained at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Barras is Board Certified in Otolaryngology, is a past president of Nesbitt Hospital and of the Surgical Specialty Center in Forty Fort, and treats ear infections, hearing loss, vertigo and dizziness, nasal and sinus disorders, swallowing and voice disorders, throat problems and allergy. He also performs medical-legal evaluation of hearing loss. Dean M. Clerico, MD, is the practice's nasal and sinus specialist. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, he attended the New Jersey Medical School and completed his otolaryngology residency there, then fellowship training in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology.

Valley ENT sits on Welles Street, a short distance from Rutter Avenue and about a third of a mile from Wyoming Avenue and MMR Jr Prep. Betty Mascelli Park and the Forty Fort Marker are each about 0.4 miles away. Office hours run Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5pm, and Friday from 8:30am to 1pm, with after-hours calls reserved for emergencies.
