Northeast Door Sales Co.

Northeast Door Sales Co. is a garage door repair company in Scranton, PA, serving homes and businesses across a six-county territory in Northeast Pennsylvania. The company sells, installs, services and repairs garage doors and garage door openers, and also installs new garage door springs for torsion spring and extension spring doors, along with opener remotes, keypads and other accessories. It holds a rating of 4.30.

The business is family owned and operated, and the Muchisky family has been in the trade since the early 1960s, when Joe Muchisky, Sr. worked as a garage door installer for Raynor Doors in Dickson City. By the early 1970s he was installing and servicing doors on his own with help from his sons, and in 1982 Northeast Door Company was formed. A new office and warehouse was built on the Scranton-Carbondale Highway in Blakely a year later, and in 1991 the company incorporated and became Northeast Door Sales, Co.

The company does not use subcontractors for any installation or repair work. Its technicians are factory trained and IDEA accredited, and they train continually on current products and techniques. An on-site bulk door system lets the company build a range of commercial garage doors, and a showroom holds running garage doors and openers so customers can see and operate the products before buying rather than choosing from a sample or brochure. Sales staff use the showroom to match a door to a customer's budget and needs. The company also stocks SlipIt, a silicone-based lubricant for keeping garage door parts lubricated, and answers questions about programming opener remotes, keypads, wall stations and LiftMaster MyQ devices. For new door orders, the company asks for the exact width and height of the opening and the floor-to-ceiling height inside the garage near the opening.

The company is known for the positive rating customers have given it, and for more than 40 years of selling, servicing and installing garage doors in the Scranton area.
