Astro Gym

Astro Gym is a gym in Philadelphia, PA, located at 1357 Ridge Ave. The facility offers personal training, monthly memberships, and online coaching to residents in neighborhoods including Brewerytown, Fairmount, and Callowhill. Founded by Johnny Pizzigoni, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise and Sports Science from Temple University, the gym emphasizes accountability and sustainable fitness journeys over technical knowledge alone. The gym provides 24/7 keyed access, allowing members to train on their own schedule without the constraints of contractual lock-ins or hidden fees.

Pizzigoni opened Astro Gym after realizing that connecting with clients and fostering comfort with change was more critical to success than programming, nutrition, or technique. The space is designed to be easy-going, allowing members to use the equipment as they wish without the crowds or annoyances of large-scale franchises. Amenities include full use of squat racks, free weights, and cardio machines. The gym promotes a respectful environment free of equipment hogging, supported by what the owner describes as the best gym music in Philadelphia. Members benefit from purpose-driven workouts available both in-person and online.

Astro Gym operates with a month-to-month membership model that includes no upfront fees and allows cancellation at any time. The facility serves as a private and efficient option for those seeking a reliable place to exercise. The gym’s structure supports long-term fitness results by focusing on smart tweaks rather than overhauls, aiming to reduce burnout while maintaining accountability.

Astro Gym provides a flexible, contract-free fitness environment in Philadelphia, combining personalized coaching with unrestricted access to essential gym equipment.
