The business is one of the oldest family run companies in New Castle, founded in the 1940s as a coal supplier and furnace repair business. Today it is owned by Duane and Terry Boyles and remains family run. The two owners alone have more than 70 years of experience in the trade. The company employs eight full time staff trained to install and service heating and air conditioning equipment; all employees are drug tested and attend ongoing training classes. They are EPA certified for refrigerant work and recovery and OQ certified to install gas service lines. Seven service vans and trucks support the work, and a complete sheet metal shop fabricates duct to meet any need. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, and alongside residential work the company does extensive commercial and industrial work. Office hours run weekdays from 8am to 5pm.

The shop sits on Sampson Street, about a tenth of a mile from Sampson Street itself and half a mile from Pulaski Road. The Shenango River is roughly seven tenths of a mile away, Sulfur Run about a mile, and UPMC Union Primary Care and the Grandview Avenue bus stop each about a mile from the location.

As a recognized Rheem Pro Partner, Love Heating & Cooling is backed by a network of licensed HVAC professionals, and the company's long history and positive customer rating reflect its standing in the New Castle area.
