Greenwood Pools & Spas

Greenwood Pools & Spas is a pool service in Altoona, PA, that has been serving the area since 1960. The company sells and services in-ground and above-ground pools, spas, equipment, chemicals, supplies, and accessories, working with homeowners throughout Blair County and the surrounding region. It holds a rating of 4.90 from customer reviews.

The business was started in 1960 by Clae and Norma Colyer, who launched their own pool company after discovering no local installer was available to put an in-ground pool in their own backyard. It was operated part time until 1965, when Clae and Norma opened a retail outlet offering in-ground and above-ground pools along with equipment, chemicals, supplies, and fun accessories. In 1988, day-to-day operations passed to Randy and Sylvia Colyer, who have continued expanding the product line and services. They now run the business with their two sons, Ryan and Zach, and several long-term employees who have contributed to the company's longevity. The store holds Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration HIC #002005 and can be reached at 814-943-1607 or by emailing [email protected].

The store sits on East Pleasant Valley Boulevard about 72 metres from Greenwood Centre and around a third of a mile from the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department. Kettle Creek runs roughly three-fifths of a mile away, and Greenwood Park is a little over half a mile from the shop. East Walton Avenue, another main road through the area, is also nearby.

With decades of continuous operation under the same family and a near-perfect customer rating, Greenwood Pools & Spas remains a steady resource for pool and spa owners in Altoona.
