Growing With Pride

Growing With Pride is a preschool in Tualatin, OR, located at 20495 SW Boones Ferry Rd. The center educates children of all ages, offering Infant and Toddler Programs, Preschool and Pre-K programs, Afterschool Programs for grades K-5th, and Summer Camps for grades K-5th. Operating since 1993, the school provides care from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. It holds a 4.00 rating based on customer reviews.

The program is built on the concept that children are born ready to learn. Caregivers create a safe, stimulating, and encouraging environment that respects each child's uniqueness, culture, and individual development. Children gain knowledge through play, active interactions with caregivers, peers, and materials. The school uses hands-on experiences, group activities, and individual play to develop intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills. Open communication and a partnership between parents and teachers are central to the approach. For children with special needs, the center provides care and helps families explore additional resources.

Lorinda Rule founded the organization, starting her career in 1976 and operating a home-based childcare facility from 1987. She completed a Child Development Degree in 1990. Lorinda Rule passed away in September 2022. Her daughter, April Rule, serves as the Director, continuing her mission alongside Assistant Director Lori Abramson. Staff members include Head Teacher Cheryl, who holds a B.S. in Education and has been with the school since 2012.

The preschool sits on SW Boones Ferry Rd, just a short distance from the intersection with Southwest Avery Street. It is also near several green spaces, including Hi-West Greenway and Little Woodrose Nature Park.
