For surgical and diagnostic procedures such as x-rays and ultrasound, clients are referred to local full service veterinary clinics.

Preventive care exams at Good Neighbor Vet include eye exams for signs of cataracts, glaucoma, infections, jaundice, and allergies; a full body examination of muscle tone, weight, and lymph nodes; abdomen, joint, and spine checks; heart and lung tests; blood work, urinalysis, and fecal samples; and ear and mouth checks for infection, tartar, and inflammation. The practice recommends annual heartworm testing for dogs, even those on regular heartworm protection, since early infections often show few signs. The test uses a small blood sample to detect heartworm proteins released by adult female heartworms. Adult dogs are tested once a year during routine wellness visits, and puppies under six months begin testing on their own schedule. Good Neighbor Vet holds a rating of 4.20 based on 1,900 reviews, reflecting a solid reputation among the customers it has served and an established track record built on a large base of customer reviews.
