Crux Rock Gym

Crux Rock Gym is a gym in Eugene, Oregon, dedicated to indoor rock climbing. It offers lessons and clinics for all ages, along with kids' classes and special nights for women and students. In 2018, ownership passed to the Watsons, longtime outdoor adventurers, climbers, and fitness trainers who moved to Eugene in 2010 and began climbing at Crux. Its youth programs include a progressive climbing class meeting once a week for a trimester, with experienced instructors and a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio, plus rental gear for class. A homeschool physical education class focuses on fitness and bouldering while building strength, agility, and flexibility in a group setting. Individual one-hour private lessons are customized to each child's pace. The gym also carries clothing, including t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, and hats, and climbing equipment such as harnesses, shoes, ATCs, GRIGRIs, locking and wiregate carabiners, quickdraws, chalk bags, liquid chalk, chalk balls, chalk blocks, tape, helmets, anchor cordage, and mountaineering and climbing ropes.
