Allen's Point Rv Park is an RV Park in Talala, OK. Located on Oologah Lake, the park sits on the only cross-over road halfway along the water, nestled in a hollow just west of the Winganon Bridge. It is the only privately owned business on the Corps of Engineers lake. The park offers 30 RV sites, a U.S. Corps of Engineers boat ramp, and a septic dump station. It remains open year-round and provides daily and monthly rates.
Nolan Allen constructed and opened the park in 1972. Neil Dishman purchased the business in August 1994, sold it in January 2008, and assumed ownership again on January 1, 2010. His wife Terry, a native of Wisconsin and a 20-year retired Air Force Veteran, has been the backbone of the business.
Oologah Lake offers 29,500 acres of water for fishing, swimming, and boating. Because the flood control lake was not constructed as a resort lake with numerous subdivisions or golf courses along the shorelines, it offers some of the best fishing in Oklahoma. Anglers can target Blue Cats, Channel Cats, Flathead, Spoonbill, White and Black Crappie, White Sand Bass, Hybrids, Large and Small Mouth Bass, and Walleye. Bow fishermen can catch Gar, Buffalo, Carp, and Drum.
The business sits on Allens Point Drive in Talala, Oklahoma, about a mile from the Verdigris River and 2.3 miles from Oologah Lake.
