The center was founded by Dr. Richard F. Lavi, MD, who is board certified in Allergy/Immunology, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. Dr. Lavi completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, performed his residency at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, and completed his fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, received the James Quilty Award for compassionate care of children with special needs during residency, and was recognized in Cleveland Magazine's Top Doctors for 2015, 2016, and 2017. He also received the Best of 2015 award for Allergy and Immunology in Twinsburg, OH and the Most Honored Doctors award in 2020. Dr. Lavi serves as a senior clinical instructor for Case Western Reserve University and a clinical instructor for Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is a former president of the Cleveland Allergy Society. He maintains hospital privileges at Hillcrest Hospital, South Pointe Hospital, Akron Children's Hospital, Summa Health Systems, Western Reserve Hospital, Robinson Memorial Hospital, and Lake Health Systems.
