K9KEY

K9KEY is a Dog Training in Uniondale, NY, located at 935 Jefferson St. The business provides board and train programs for dogs, serving clients in Queens, Brooklyn, NYC, and Long Island. Their services address a range of needs, from puppy training and everyday obedience to fear and aggression issues. The program is described as a five-week board and train dog school, accepting a handful of dogs each month.

The company emphasizes that it is not a franchise and not content creators, but rather a team of experienced trainers. They have been training dogs for three decades, with experience dating back to before some of their current clients were born. The training philosophy focuses on the quality of experience rather than just the duration. The team competes in dog sports involving dogs bred for intensity, which provides them with skills in understanding complex dog behavior. Steve, the lead trainer, was groomed for the profession from an early age by his father, who raised, trained, and competed with dogs in Korea and later in the United States. Steve has handled and shown numerous breeds, including Korean Jindos and Pomeranians. He has competed at high levels in Schutzhund (IGP) with German Shepherds and the occasional Belgian Malinois. He also specializes in handling and training Pit Bulls. His expertise covers basic to advanced obedience, protection training, sport and competition training, service work, movie work, and resolving aggression issues.

Clients note that the training includes video footage and updates during the boarding period, followed by group clinics to reinforce skills. The approach involves helping owners understand dog psychology and behavior to become effective leaders. Reviews highlight Steve’s calm and focused demeanor and the team’s dedication to creating effective action plans and providing ongoing support.

K9KEY combines decades of competitive and practical dog training experience with personalized board and train programs to help dogs and owners in Uniondale and the surrounding New York area achieve lasting behavioral results.
