Services include acupuncture, electroacupuncture, aquapuncture, and herbal medicine, alongside advanced surgical care and diagnostic work. Founded in 2013 by Dr. The hospital is built in a 5,000 square-foot, environmentally conscious facility that Dr. Delijani designed from the ground up, integrating digital whole body radiography, a digital dental suite, a surgical operating room, and oxygen cages, along with a backup generator. Patients are greeted in a waiting room with separate dog and cat areas divided by a calming fish tank, and examined in species-specific rooms, including a dedicated cat exam room with a cat tree and toys. The day after every visit, the staff calls each client to follow up on vaccinations, medications, and illness cases. The team also provides feline and canine boarding, a canine run, and pet grooming, and offers tours of the facility's reception area, exam rooms, laboratory, radiology department, treatment area, surgical suite, and feline boarding and play area. Dr. Delijani earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Colgate University, her Master's degree in Biology from Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she received the Small Animal Achievement Award. She studied acupuncture at the Chi Institute and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York Veterinary Medical Society, the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Alyssa DiGiovanni joined the team in 2021 after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and the staff includes veterinary technicians Manuel Mondaca and Andre, along with veterinary assistant Gabrielle, all of whom describe the practice as functioning like a family. Green Forest Veterinary Hospital of Glen Cove combines a Cat Friendly certified environment with an integrative approach that draws from both western and holistic medicine, giving pet owners in Glen Cove a broad range of conventional and alternative options for their cats and dogs.
