Cosmos Eye Care

Cosmos Eye Care is an optometrist in Roosevelt, NY, located at 90-01 Roosevelt Avenue. The practice serves patients in the Jackson Heights area and is led by Dr. Joanne Econopouly, O.D., who has been practicing optometry in Jackson Heights for over 25 years. The office sees adults and children ages eight and up, and Dr. Econopouly is fluent in Spanish, Greek, and English. The practice holds a rating of 4.80 from its customers.

Dr. Econopouly graduated from New York University in 1993 before completing her optometric degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She was then selected for a residency at the Brooklyn Veterans Hospital focused on the treatment and management of ocular disease. Each year she completes more than 25 hours of continuing education through classes and seminars. Cosmos Eye Care opened in September 1999, and Dr. Econopouly has extensive experience in ocular disease, dry eyes, keratoconus, and difficult-to-fit contact lenses. The practice offers a complete optical department with a selection of high fashion eyewear and designer frames, along with comprehensive vision and eye health examinations. A technician named Juan is on hand for eyewear adjustments.

The office keeps weekday and Saturday hours, with appointments available Monday through Saturday. The practice is supported by a staff that has worked alongside Dr. Econopouly for years, allowing her time outside of patient care to spend with her husband and three children.

Cosmos Eye Care has built a reputation in the Jackson Heights community through more than two decades of practice under Dr. Econopouly's direction, and her continuing education and residency training in ocular disease give the office a solid foundation for handling complex eye health needs close to home.
