Radio Social

Radio Social is a bowling alley in Rochester, NY, operating as an entertainment experience and event venue inside the city's historical Stromberg-Carlson warehouse. The venue's roots trace back to the local bowling scene of the late 1950s, when Dan Morgenstern's father immigrated to Rochester from Israel in 1957 and began working as a mechanic at Clover Lanes on Monroe Avenue in Brighton. By 1962 he was managing the alley, which by the late 1960s had become a Professional Bowlers Association tour stop and a pioneer of summer dance nights that covered its 12 lanes with plywood so live bands could play. Dan Morgenstern became a managing partner of Clover Lanes in 1994, and after that original property closed in 2016, he formed a local team to establish Radio Social, which opened in May 2017. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and after 9 p.m. no guests under 21 are admitted entry.
