The business was established by Vincent Chumenti in 1958 as a one-man pinstriping shop. In the early days, pinstriping was done by hand, and Vinnie Sr. built the company on truck lettering and specialty signage. In 2011, Vinnie Jr. expanded the local family business to add large format print solutions while keeping the same principles the company was founded on. The facility includes a brand new embroidery department and in-house large format printers capable of handling projects from XXL down to small runs. The team is described as helpful with tight turnaround times and mass orders, and the work is made in America. Their in-house capabilities cover 3M printing, laser engraving, vinyl, logos, reception and lobby signs, and digital marketing support.

The shop sits at 440 N Main St in Port Chester, just off North Main Street and within a short distance of Byram Road and Putnam Avenue. The Port Chester Police Department is about a quarter mile away, and Thomas Alva Edison School and Sacred Heart School are both within a few blocks of the front door.

Vinnie Pinstripe carries a 4.90 rating from the customers who have reviewed it, reflecting more than six decades of continuous family operation in Westchester County. For a print, sign, or wrap project in Port Chester, the shop is the local family-run option that has been handling this work since the hand-pinstriping era.
