WE Transport, Inc. of Plainview

WE Transport, Inc. of Plainview is a trucking company in Plainview, NY, providing school bus transportation, special needs transportation, and charter and field trip services. The company serves public, private, parochial, pre-school, and special-needs students, carrying them between home and school each day. Its charter division operates a fleet of late model vehicles that includes wheelchair accessible vehicles. WE Transport holds a rating of 3.90.

The company's history reaches back to 1957, when Walter and Edith Marksohn began driving children to school as subcontractors with a single blue Oldsmobile. Two years later the family-run business was founded, and it has since grown into a network of ten depots across Long Island, New York City, Westchester, and Connecticut. More than 2,500 employees operate a fleet of over 1,700 vehicles. The second and third generations of the family, including Bart, Jerry, Helena, and grandson Brian, guide the company today. Safety is central to its operations, supported by an industry-certified safety team, rigorous driver training, advanced onboard technology, and maintenance facilities in Nassau and Suffolk counties, New York City, Westchester, and Connecticut. Five operational companies function under one umbrella, giving the business the capacity of a large provider alongside the personal touch of a local partner. WE Transport is part of the Beacon Mobility family of transportation companies.

The corporate headquarters sits on Commercial Street in Plainview, about a third of a mile from the Long Island Expressway and Executive Drive, and roughly the same distance from Beaumont Park P-32. The Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Park and a rain garden planted in August 2012 are both about four tenths of a mile away.

For more than six decades, WE Transport has earned the trust of schools and communities across Long Island by putting children first on every route.
