Metal Grafix

Metal Grafix is a Printing Service in Ogdensburg, NY, located at 808 Commerce Park Dr #25180. The company manufactures high-quality metal nameplates and ID tags for a wide range of applications, serving customers with no minimum order requirement and worldwide shipping within five business days, including two-day emergency AOG service. Designs are created in-house to ensure quick turnaround and quality control. The business holds a 5.00 rating based on customer reviews. The company employs the proprietary PermaPlate etching process, developed in the early 1970s, which uses high-quality, photo-sensitive, aircraft-quality, anodized aluminum. This method involves applying a digitally produced image to a Mylar film, masking the aluminum, and using intense ultraviolet light to photo-etch the image. The product is then rinsed to halt the chemical reaction, boiled in a sealing solution to permanently seal the image within the aluminum, and cut to size. This process allows for the incorporation of unique product elements, barcodes, and variable details, and has proven durable enough for equipment enduring 47 years of environmental exposure. Metal Grafix also offers a Direct to Substrate printing process, enabling durable, full-color digital images with a resolution up to 1400 DPI to be printed in the subsurface pores of multiple materials. This eliminates the need for silk-screening, multiple films, and multiple screens. Traditional silk-screening methods are also utilized, involving a stretched silk mesh encased with a light-sensitive photo resist coating, where ink is pushed through the image portion of the mesh onto the anodized aluminum. The business is known for its high standards, with the PermaPlate process being a choice for military and aerospace ID tags and nameplates. Customer feedback highlights the company’s quick response to requests for quotes, detailed communication, and the pride taken in producing labels on any kind of substrate.

Metal Grafix operates on Commerce Park Drive, situated about half a mile from the Saint Lawrence Psychiatric Center and approximately one mile from State Highway 37.
