NYC PETCARE

NYC PETCARE is a pet sitter in New York, NY. The business offers exclusive private apartment boarding, pet sitting, cat visits, and dog walking for pet owners in Manhattan. In its boarding apartments, dogs and cats are welcome to sleep beside their care provider in the bed, with the run of the apartment and no crates and no other pets present. Dogs receive energetic walks or slower sniff-drawn strolls, and special needs can be accommodated. For pets that are not comfortable in new environments, NYC PETCARE provides care in the client's home, including kitty care visits with feeding, litter care, and play, dog walking and feeding visits, and overnight stays for short or long-term trips. Dog walking is dependable and solo, with pairings offered only when both dogs are well-matched and clients agree. Photos and check-ins are sent throughout each visit, and references are available on request.

The team is led by an owner and pet care provider who spent about seven years teaching art in schools in and around New York City before moving into the pet care industry through managerial work with an established Manhattan dog walking business. The providers are described as artists who are home to spend time with the pets in their care, and they are experienced across a variety of species and behaviors. One provider, Kelly, is a cat specialist who also volunteers with a rescue group called The Artemis Project on the Upper West Side and helps care for a cat colony in her uptown Manhattan neighborhood. Deb, a longtime Upper West Side resident, has experience in dog walking, basic training, oral medications, and basic grooming. Eleanor, a native New Yorker and cat rescuer, specializes in cats and can administer pills, liquids, and injections.

NYC PETCARE is located on W 24th St in Chelsea, a short distance from 9th Avenue and West 23rd Street. The Chelsea Recreation Center and the Jeff Dullea Inter-Generational Garden are both about a tenth of a mile away.

The business holds a 5.00 rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
