Belgrove Appliance, Inc.

Belgrove Appliance, Inc. is an Appliance Repair business in Mt. Vernon, NY, located at 212 S 12th Ave. The company specializes in high-end vintage stove repair, restoration, and parts for the Tri-State area. Led by a technician known as The Stove Lady, the business has served the industry for over 25 years. They restore iconic brands including Chambers, Caloric, Crown, Roper, Garland, Wolf, Viking, Blue Star, LaCornue, O'Keefe & Merritt, and Wedgewood. Services range from minor fixes like broken hinges to full stovetop restorations and safety upgrades for family heirloom ranges. They also handle commercial stove repairs for home use, particularly for durable brands like Garland. The business maintains one of the largest networks of vintage stove parts suppliers in the US, stocking hard-to-find gas and electric components such as knobs, grates, burners, handles, clocks, and valves. They supply original, re-manufactured, and no longer available parts for classic models.

The restoration process begins with detailed pictures and videos of the entire unit, logging the serial plate and customer name. The stove is dismantled into its smallest pieces until the shell is fully exposed, and each part is catalogued. Parts are separated into in-house work, enamel work, and chrome work piles. Thermostats are sent out for rebuilding. In-house work involves stripping, sandblasting, sanding, painting, and polishing. Gas valves are rebuilt and polished, and gas lines are cleaned. Screws are replaced or restored, and springs are replaced. The company can change the color of old stoves to options like white, cobalt blue, grey, or red, provided the enameling company can handle it. Minor blemishes may remain to preserve the stove’s age authenticity. Once restored, the stove is reassembled and reviewed against standards. Progress photos may be sent to the customer.

The business is recognized for its legacy of craftsmanship, blending modern innovation with vintage durability to bring timeless beauty to luxury kitchens. Their fully restored vintage stoves are often featured in magazines and on television. They also offer The Stove Lady Quarterly Maintenance Program, which includes cleaning and minor repairs for a small fee to help avoid restoration expenses. The company holds a 5.00 rating based on customer reviews. They are recognized as the oldest antique stove restoration company in the New York Tri-State area.
