Long Island Exterminator – Optimum Pest Control

Long Island Exterminator - Optimum Pest Control is a pest control company in Medford, NY. It holds a rating of 4.80 based on customer reviews. The company serves homes and businesses across the Greater New York area, treating more than 30 of the most common pests, including ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, flies, mosquitoes, rodents and ticks. Its work extends to commercial, industrial, hospital, hotel, school and food processing settings, with dedicated programs for schools, institutions, daycare programs and food processing facilities.

The company uses an Integrated Pest Management approach, applying pesticide only when monitoring or visual inspection shows a pest concern exists. Its technicians are individually licensed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and its standards for technicians surpass the requirements of NYS DEC laws. Technicians receive formal in-house training every month, wear uniforms and drive marked, business-licensed vehicles. All services are performed in-house rather than sub-contracted.

For schools and daycare programs, the company follows a School IPM policy that keeps children out of areas during and after any pesticide application, and notifies parents, guardians, faculty and staff before an application. Its programs also address sanitation and structural issues that invite pests, and can include education for staff, students and parents. The company guarantees its IPM program will meet or exceed customer expectations and returns as often as needed for active pest conditions covered under an agreement, at no additional charge. It also provides bird control using netting, electric track, post and wire, and spikes.

Customers describe punctual, courteous technicians who explain their work, honor quoted prices without upselling, and follow up after treatment. Reviews recount resolved ant, mouse, rat and pigeon problems, including a building facade infestation handled discreetly.
