Founded in Brooklyn in 1948 by Richard Marchisotto's father, Sherwood Photography has maintained a consistent focus on the power of images to become part of a family's story. Today, Richard Marchisotto and his business partner, Kevin Togher, continue this tradition with a warm and thoughtful approach to portrait photography. Their sessions prioritize genuine connection over passing trends, aiming to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment where children can be themselves and families can connect naturally. Rather than chasing perfect poses, the photographers gently guide each session to create portraits that reflect the people they are capturing.

The studio thinks beyond the camera, designing every portrait to become part of a beautifully displayed wall portrait collection or an heirloom album that tells a family's story for generations. This long-term perspective has fostered lasting relationships with clients, as families often return for multiple life stages. Sherwood Photography has documented newborns who later returned as children, as well as graduates, engaged couples, and new parents. These recurring experiences reinforce the belief that the photographs created today often become the images families treasure most tomorrow.

The business holds a 4.80 rating based on customer reviews, demonstrating a positive standing among those who have experienced their services. This high rating reflects the satisfaction of families who value the genuine connection and thoughtful approach provided by Richard Marchisotto and Kevin Togher.
