Owner Bill Roeder leads the school alongside his children, Bobby and Jackie. The family's martial arts journey spans more than 25 years, beginning with Bill's Taekwondo training in 1972. After an 18-year break, he returned to training in 1990, and signing his sons up for local lessons rekindled his own interest, leading him to train alongside his daughter Jackie. Under Master Nick Adler, they studied Isshinryu Karate and competed nationally. In 2016, Bill, Bobby, and Jackie were promoted to seventh, sixth, and fourth-degree black belts. Bill Roeder emphasizes building a foundation of self-discipline, self-esteem, and respect that carries into everyday life.

The studio sits on Waverly Avenue, a short walk from Tuthills Creek and close to the junction with Patchogue-Holbrook Road. The Holbrook Fire Department's Station 2 is about six-tenths of a mile away, and the Sunrise Service Road North highway is roughly the same distance.
