New Direx

New Direx is a courier service in East Northport, NY. The company specializes in time-critical shipments and handles air freight, ocean freight, trucking, project cargo, warehousing, and customs brokerage. It serves clients with international logistics needs, from single cartons requiring less-than-container-load ocean bookings to multi-shipment full-container plans, oversized and hazardous moves, touring productions, trade show exhibits, and high-value domestic deliveries. Founded in 1993 as a single-employee office, New Direx has grown into a bi-coastal international freight forwarder with established global partnerships and two offices assisting clients with import and export programs.

The company's air freight team brings over two decades of experience shipping complicated and urgent cargo worldwide, operating as an IATA-endorsed Indirect Air Carrier and offering consolidated shipments as well as chartered flights for the most urgent cases. Its ocean freight division functions as a licensed and bonded Ocean Transportation Intermediary and NVOCC, with 25 years of industry knowledge coordinating LCL and FCL cargo at any international or domestic port, including shipments that never enter the US. The trucking division handles LTL and FTL freight, oversized and overweight loads, refrigerated cargo, and special event and entertainment shipments, with expedited next-day service available by truck or domestic air when needed. Warehousing services include state-of-the-art monitoring and tracking, temperature control, and staging. The customs brokerage staff works with the latest technology to manage customs entries, and New Direx holds Customs Brokerage License #23257 and C-TPAT Account #68159534. The company has grown through long-term relationships and word-of-mouth referrals, maintaining a family tradition in the business.

The office sits on Laurel Road, about a tenth of a mile from Dickinson Avenue School and roughly half a mile from Fort Salonga Road, with Northport train station about six tenths of a mile away.

With more than thirty years in international freight forwarding, New Direx brings the buying power and reach of a global network together with the personalized attention typically associated with a smaller operation, serving shippers in the East Northport area and beyond.
