He is also a trained and certified provider of VitalStim therapy for swallowing disorders, and holds a tenured professorship at a leading Long Island university. His background includes faculty and research appointments at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Center for Cranio Facial Disorders, and within the Department of Neurology at Stony Brook School of Medicine. Dr. Amato carries an extensive musical background that informs his work with voice patients.
