Top Dog Kennels, LLC

Top Dog Kennels, LLC is a pet sitter in Cortland, NY. The business operates as Top Dog Pet Resort, providing both boarding and daycare for dogs, with service reaching Tompkins, Cortland, Onondaga, and Broome Counties. The facility functions as an enrichment center, offering activities designed to engage dogs physically and mentally rather than simply housing them. Boarding clients can take advantage of enrichment activities, and a dedicated enrichment daycare is also available.

The business is owned by Laura and Craig Turner, who opened Top Dog Kennels in 2019 after the retirement of a long-time boarding kennel they had used with their own dogs for more than twenty years. Their experience as customers revealed that Cortland County and the surrounding area lacked quality pet boarding options, which prompted them to build their own purpose-built facility. Both owners grew up with dogs and continued to keep them throughout their lives, treating their pets as full family members. Laura and Craig brought prior business management experience into the operation and later returned to study canine enrichment, reshaping the facility around that approach. In 2025, the business was renamed Top Dog Pet Resort to better reflect the broader range of services offered. The kennel sits at 3802 Clinton Street Ext in McGraw, NY 13101, and the owners can be reached at 607-218-4052 or by email at [email protected].

The facility holds a rating of 4.80, reflecting positive feedback from the customers who have reviewed it.
