Michelle Kennedy began her career with pets after purchasing her first show-quality Siberian Husky in 1980. After working in obedience, she began grooming in 1984 and opened her first salon with a business partner in Latham, NY, in 1988. She sold the salon in 2002 to stay home with her newborn and work in youth ministry. Three years later, she resumed grooming in her home basement. In 2007, she opened a school to address a lack of education for pet stylists in the area, necessitating a move to Plank Road. After relocating due to facility size and New York State Education Department requirements, the business added boarding and small dog daycare to a 4,000-square-foot space. In 2015, the business purchased the facility at 662 Plank Road as its permanent home.

The staff includes Jenny Deyoe, who started as a teenager in Michelle Kennedy’s youth group and is now a talented stylist and grooming instructor. Amanda Albright, Michelle’s daughter, joined the team after graduating from Marist College and working at a local radio station. The well-trained staff attends trade shows and seminars to stay current with the newest, safest methods and equipment for creating styles.

The business maintains a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
